September 4, 2014. ChTPZ Group representatives were among Chelyabinsk Region’s official delegates who took part in the international industrial exhibition Eurasia Expo that is currently taking place in Urumqi, China, the Group’s press service reports.

The constituency’s official delegation to China was chaired by acting Governor of Chelyabinsk Region Boris Dubrovsky; the team of the so-called ‘white metallurgists’ was represented by Chairman of ChTPZ Board of Directors Alexander Fedorov. The Eurasia Expo Exhibition was sponsored by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Business Council, and delegates from business communities of the organization member states and observers took part in the event.

Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant (ChTPZ) presented its produce as part of Chelyabinsk Region’s stand at the international pavilion China-Eurasia-Expo. In April 2014, ChTPZ was Chelyabinsk Region’s first industrial enterprise to sign an agreement on social, economic, and environmental cooperation with Chelyabinsk Region Government.

The plant and the local government agreed, among other things, to work towards a better investment climate in the area. In May, ChTPZ Group signed a cooperation agreement with a division of China National Petroleum Corporation – China Petroleum Pipeline Material and Equipment Corporation (CPPMEC). This agreement is part of international, inter-governmental Russo-Chinese energy sector cooperation and is expected to boost the Russian-Chinese goods turnover.
