Sverdlovsk Region industrial production index drops 5.2% in January-July 2014

August 18, 2014. Sverdlovsk Region industrial production index decreased by 5.2% in January-July 2014 compared with the seven months of 2013, Sverdlovskstat’s official report states.
The index actually rose by 2.7% on the previous year in the sector of mineral resource production, yet this is still 5.5% lower than in June 2014.
In the processing industry sector, the figure for January-July 2014 was 6.8% lower than in January-July 2013. It was also 5.5% lower than the index for June 2014.
As for the production and distribution of electric power, natural gas, and water, the index went up by 4.3% compared with June 2014 yet went down by 4.6% compared with January-July 2013.
