July 22, 2014. Uraltransmash (a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation) upgraded the diagnostic equipment at its medical unit, the corporation's press service reports.

'The company bought some up-to-date equipment and invested in medical staff professional development programs. The measures taken are targeted at improvements in the quality of medical services and, in particular, at enhancing the efficiency of early-stage detection of various diseases,' the press service says.

For one, a mobile mammography cubicle is fitted with equipment for digitizing mammography scans. This means that computer-processed images can be used to diagnose cancer at an early stage and that the diagnostic precision is higher. Speedy response and treatment help achieve impressive results, including a patient's full recovery.

The modern ultrasound scanner Vivid9 makes it possible to do 4D heart imaging, which increases the options available in scanning a patient's entire cardiovascular system and in detecting heart pathologies over a shorter period of time. Besides, irregularities can now be traced at the earliest stages of a disease.
