July 8, 2014. Students of Pervouralsk Metallurgical School (ChTPZ Group’s partner in running the Future of White Metallurgy Project) left for the village of Gorny Shchit to serve their army term, the company’s press service reports.
This military unit supported by ChTPZ will welcome 22 newly drafted soldiers, all of whom have studied on the program and were selected by the officers of Central Military District’s Air Forces and Air Defense Forces. The prospective metallurgists will serve in the telecommunications and security departments and will stay on combat alert duty within the district’s authority area.
This is the fourth time the program alumni serve their army term in this military unit. Being able to serve their term in one and the same unit was possible thanks to the PPP agreement signed by ChTPZ Group, Pervouralsk Metallurgical School, and Central Military District in 2012.
‘I know what serving in Gorny Shchit is like. We went on guided tours of the place when we were students and spoke a number of times to those who have already served or are currently serving there. The fact that this military unit is located close to where we live is one big advantage, since it means we can keep in regular touch with our relatives and friends. Judging from what I saw, I liked the gym with all the modern appliances most of all. I hope that my army term will prove a positive experience, that I will master some military jobs, and that this will help me increase my spiritual strength,’ says newly drafted Artur Islamov.
