22 July 2015 (09:17)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 22, 2015. Thirty-seven alumni of ChTPZ Group Training Center’s Future of White Metallurgy Program took their oaths to join the military forces in Gorny Shchit, Sverdlovsk Region, the company press service reports.

The solemn ceremony was attended by the military officials, managers of Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant (a member enterprise of ChTPZ Group), and faculty of Pervouralsk Metallurgical School.

ChTPZ Group, Central Military District’s Air Command, Sverdlovsk Region Government, and Pervouralsk Metallurgical School signed a special agreement in 2012 which allowed the school alumni to serve their army term in Gorny Shchit, near Yekaterinburg. The new recruits receive their military training, serve at communications and security units, go on air defense duty, and do sports. ChTPZ Group, in its turn, supports the military unit both in terms of organization of training and in terms of infrastructure development. The company has already repaired the barracks and medical unit, put up a sports facility with all the necessary appliances, and renovated the drill ground, the shooting range, and the entry checkpoint, and is currently working on a new amenity building.

So far, around a hundred program alumni have served their army term and most of them came back to work at ChTPZ Group’s White Metallurgy departments such as Iron Ozone 32 (a steel-smelting facility), Finishing Center, and pipe-rolling and pipe-drawing departments. Twenty newcomers, demobilized just two weeks ago, are currently getting hired. Some of them were invited to managerial positions.
