Russia’s Federal Service for Military & Technical Cooperation thanks Uralvagonzavod for taking part in KADEX 2014

June 16, 2014. The Director-General of Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation received a thank-you letter from Deputy Head of Russia’s Federal Service for Military & Technical Cooperation Konstantin Biryulin, who expressed his gratitude to Oleg Sienko and the entire Uralvagonzavod team for taking part in KADEX 2014, the International Arms & Military Assets Exhibition, Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s press service reports.
The letter dwells on the corporation’s special role in the development of military and technical cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan. For one, the fact that integrated enterprises took part in the event and ‘demonstrated modern and promising ammunition and military vehicles as well as carried out a thought-through and event-packed series of negotiations with foreign partners and potential customers will definitely help strengthen Russia’s position on the local ammunition market.’
Uralvagonzavod presented three life-size samples (BMPT-72, PTS-4, KPM 1IZ7E) and a full-scale model (BMP ATOM) at KADEX 2014; these are the newest developments elaborated upon by the various member enterprises of the integrated company. Uralvagonzavod’s stand and open-air show were visited by Russian Vice Premier Dmitri Rogozin, Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Masimov, Kazakhstan’s Defense Minister Serik Akhmetov, and other high-profile officials. Minister Akhmetov confirmed the fact that Kazakh authorities were willing to work on joint projects and set up a JV run by Uralvagonzavod Corporation and Kazakhstan Engineering.
