Uralvagonzavod presents its produce at Africa Aerospace and Defense 2014

September 19, 2014. Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation presented its produce at the International Air and Space Exhibition Africa Aerospace and Defense 2014; the exhibition opened in the South African Republic on September 17.

According to the corporation’s press service, this is the second time the holding has taken part in the show. The corporation first presented its developments on the African continent in 2012.

During the first two days of the exhibition, the corporation’s stand was visited by Mr Kebby Maphatsoe, the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of South Africa, Tanzania’s Defense Minister Hussein Ali Mwinyi, Assistant to the Russian Federation President for Military & Technical Cooperation Issues Vladimir Kozhin, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Air Forcese, Colonel-General Viktor Bondarev. The presentation of the vehicles was made by Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s special representative for military and technical cooperation Alexei Maslov.

‘The high-profile visitors saw both the T-90S and the T-90SM tanks, our upgraded T-72 tank and fire support combat vehicles Terminator and Terminator 2, engineering vehicles, and other special-purpose goods by Uralvagonzavod. They were also shown the models of combat vehicle TOS-1, amphibious full-track vehicle PTS-4, and heavy-duty mechanized bridge TMM-6 made by Omsktransmash,’ the corporation’s press service says.
