March 24, 2014. Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant (PNTZ, a member enterprise of ChTPZ Group) and Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation signed a cooperation agreement in the field of cadre training. The document was signed right after the closing ceremony of the annual conference of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs that was, among other things, dedicated to setting up a totally new employment structure and employment terms as well as to improving the quality of industrial cadre training, PNTZ press service reports.

It was suggested that companies could learn from the experience of ten ‘pilot’-project-running federal constituencies that won the Agency for Strategic Initiatives’ contest on launching the dual education system in their area. Sverdlovsk Region is actually one such experimenter.

The corporation’s Director-General Oleg Sienko signed the cooperation agreement on cadre training on behalf of Uralvagonzavod. BOD Chairman Alexander Fedorov signed the agreement on behalf of ChTPZ Group.

‘The two parties intend to create a system of interaction between their partner vocational schools in order to enhance the industrial workers’ skills, introduce new educational technologies, and improve the training process,’ PNTZ says.

For one, experts from ChTPZ Group and Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s respective Training Centers are going to develop methodological resources, elaborate professional standards for staple blue-collar jobs and engineering jobs, do research, and organize events like exhibitions, demonstration classes, seminars, international conferences, and sports events. There will also be professional development courses for teachers, student internships, and an opportunity for the students to take part in WorldSkills competitions.
