December 12, 2014. A partnership agreement was signed by Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant (ChTPZ) and KAZENERGY, Kazakhstan Association of O&G and energy companies, ChTPZ Group’s press service reports.

The agreement was signed by ChTPZ Chairman of the BOD Alexander Fedorov and KAZENERGY Director-General Aset Magauov.

The agreement is meant to strengthen the two parties business, educational, and scientific research ties. Both ChTPZ and KAZENERGY proved interested in co-training of vocational cadre, designing educational programs and professional development seminars, developing professional standards, and promotion of ROST ORLEU Association and WorldSkills, an international movement.

‘An enterprise cannot grow more efficient or more productive without skilled staff. I am positive this partnership agreement will give a new impulse to ROST ORLEU, WorldSkills, vocational cadre training, and exchange of advanced educational expertise between Russia and Kazakhstan,’ Fedorov said.

ROST ORLEU Association was set up in November 2013. The agreement was signed by KAZENERGY and ChTPZ Group as well as by Karaganda Polytechnic School and Pervouralsk Metallurgical School during the Transfrontier Forum in Yekaterinburg. The Association’s main goal is to build up on industrial partnership between Russia and Kazakhstan as early as at the cadre training stage.

‘Both countries’ industrial communities were in favor of the idea of vocational schools, since they are all interested in the students’ horizontal, sequential integration into Russia and Kazakhstan’s leading enterprises. The association aims to enhance and maintain the prestige of blue-collar jobs outside the industrial community, to cooperate with the leading industrial enterprises, to help young graduates find a job, to do some volunteer work, and to take part in major industrial exhibitions and other events,’ the press service says.
