Sverdlovsk Region and Agency for Strategic Initiatives sign agreement on training industrial cadre

February 05, 2014. Sverdlovsk Region Education Minister Yuri Biktuganov signed a cooperation agreement with Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), Governor of Sverdlovsk Region's Information Policies Department reports.
Under this agreement, the two parties are going to cooperate on training cadre that will meet the requirements of the hi tech industrial sectors through a dual education program. The ASI gave Sverdlovsk Region the status of the Mentor Region, which means the area will offer methodological support to other federal constituencies which are only preparing to train blue-collar workers on the basis of the dual education model. The agreement provides for co-financing of specific job employee training programs by the private sector and the local authorities.
23 other federal constituencies actually competed for this cooperation agreement with the ASI.
