February 17, 2014. WATCH+, an application developed by MegaLabs, proved one of the top apps at Apple AppStore and Google Play. Over 200,000 people installed the app within three days of the launch. The total volume of traffic downloaded via the app was more than 100 terabytes, the company’s press service says.

‘MegaFon took its customers’ needs into account, so now one does not have to have a registration to keep track of the Olympic events: the service is available right after installation. The app is available to subscribers of all operators, and the video traffic is free for all of MegaFon subscribers.

From Day 1 of the Olympics WATCH+ helps supporters to be in the know of the most spectacular events. WATCH+ subscribers get access not only to the Winter Olympics broadcasts but also to more exclusive content. For one, on February 7, over 10,000 viewers who watched the opening ceremony via WATCH+, could enjoy not only the main part of the show but also the preliminary shows by well-known singers and musicians that were not broadcast on the national channels.

WATCH+ is currently the second most popular free sports application at AppStore and one of the top ten new free apps at Google Play. The peak viewing activity was registered on Sunday night, when over 25,00 viewers were using WATCH+ simultaneously to watch the performance by Russian figure-skaters and biathlon players. On February 8, when Russian figure-skaters performed, over 4 terabytes of data were downloaded by users in one hour. The mobile app is available both via mobile Internet access and the wireless one.
