August 6, 2013. MegaFon Ural is now giving its subscribers a chance to watch thousands of films in Russia’s most popular online movie theater ivi.ru without any extra charge for the Internet traffic, the company’s press service reports.

Ivi.ru is visited by over 15m unique users every month. This year, ivi reports, the website gets 125 to 150 million hits monthly.

‘People increasingly prefer to watch their favorite films and series at a suitable time and do not like depending on a TV program. MegaFon Ural subscribers who use the mobile carrier’s mobile Internet connection can now enjoy not only the wide coverage area and enhanced average data transfer speed (some 2.2 megabytes per second) but also the opportunity to watch any amount of films via ivi.ru without paying extra for the Internet traffic,’ says MegaFon Ural Mass Market Business Development Director Sergey Alferov.

Once MegaFon Ural customers subscribe to the Ivi.ru without Borders option, they can watch movies on their smartphones or on any computer with a MegaFon Internet connection without paying extra for the Internet traffic. Watching movies online with the Ivi.ru without borders option does not eat away any Internet traffic volume for the subscribers with the unlimited Internet access packages.

The option is free to subscribe to, as is the first month when you are using it; starting from the second month, the fee is 90 RUR per month (VAT included).
