‘Starting January 25, a new update that activates Russia’s largest 4G network is available for Apple iPhone 5S and 5C smartphones. The super-fast mobile network that can offer up to 100 Mb/sec in terms of speed is now available to the owners of four smartphone varieties: : iPhone 5S — A1457 and A1530 and iPhone 5C — A1507 and A1529. As early as November 2013, MegaFon’s 4G network also became available to the owners of other Apple devices such as the tablet computers iPad Air and iPad mini,’ the company says.

MegaFon’s 4G Internet connection is now available in ten Russian cities with the population of over 1m people, in 14 cities with the population of 500,000 to 1m people, and in 150 smaller locations. Some 50 mobile device makes can operate within the 4G range, including smartphones, tablet computers, modems, and routers by the world’s leading producers such as Apple, Samsung, LG, Sony, HTC, and others.
