Sverdlovsk Region is currently Ural Federal District’s No. 1 market in terms of how many new smartphones get purchased on a trade-in scheme where you can hand your old gadget in. Every one in three mobile devices bought on the program at MegaFon’s stores gets bought in Sverdlovsk Region, the company’s press service reports.

Yekaterinburg and Nizhniy Tagil are the two top cities in the constituency where the largest number of old phones gets traded in; Novouralsk, Asbest, and Kamensk Uralsky come next.

MegaFon’s trade-in scheme is an opportunity to sell your old phone to the company in exchange for a discount on your new mobile device, phone accessories, or phone insurance. 40% of the flagship Apple and Samsung products are on offer at MegaFon’s stores under exactly these terms. The offer applies to iPhone, Samsung, Sony, and LG makes as usual.

The offer holds for both offline and online purchases from MegaFon (but you have to pick up the item from the warehouse yourself in the latter case). Sixty-six MegaFon stores in twenty-three different cities within Sverdlovsk Region are currently taking part in the program.
