December 27, 2013. Uralvagonzavod – Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation's head plant – came up with an end-of-year performance report in the HR sector in the course of a weekly meeting of the company's trade union leaders. This time, the meeting was also attended by Deputy Director-General for HR Svetlana Ivanilova, the corporation's press service says.
Ms Ivanilova said in her report that even though 2013 was not a 100% successful year for Uralvagonzavod, the living standards still remained good for the plant's employees. For example, the median monthly pay figures for 2013 come to 30,342 RUR, which is 11,700 RUR more than the average pay in Sverdlovsk Region and 8,700 RUR than the average pay in Nizhniy Tagil.
Increased meal subsidies (these rose from 15 RUR to 30 RUR) were an important achievement in the year 2013. The social benefits package now amounts to 3,980 RUR per worker. Starting from January 1, 2014, the base rates and salaries will go up by 10%.
Uralvagonzavod currently employs slightly over 29,500 people, including 2,512 new employees who were hired in 2013 (59% of whom are under 30). This year, 13,909 employees underwent vocational training. The company invested 47.7m RUR in personnel training altogether.
