RCC takes part in 10th Interregional Russia-Kazakhstan Cooperation Forum

November 12, 2013. Russian Copper Company is exhibiting its achievements at the 10th Interregional Russia-Kazakhstan Cooperation Forum and is presenting an innovative stand with visual displays of the company’s mining projects in Russia and Kazakhstan. The Russian Copper Company Group is one of Russia’s top three copper producers and has been investing actively in Kazakhstan. In 2004-2012, the investments on the company’s part amounted to over $500m.

On the first day of the exhibition, RRC’s stand was visited by an official delegation consisting of Deputy Minister for Regional Development Mikhail Kruk and Sverdlovsk Region Government representatives headed by Governor Evgeny Kuivashev. While the stand was being examined, RCC Group BOD Chairman Igor Altushkin talked about the implementation of RCC’s two major mining projects: Mikheyevsky and Tominsky Ore Mining & Processing Enterprises, and about the company’s projects in Kazakhstan.

In addition to Sverdlovsk Region Government’s delegates, RCC’s stand was also visited by Chelyabinsk Region Economic Development Minister Elena Murzina and her colleagues. The meeting was also attended by RCC PR & Social Policies Director Evgenia Chaplygina, who talked to Ms Murzina about the CSR component of Tominsky Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise, including the company’s plans to liaise with the environmental groups.
