UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 14, 2016. Russia’s Vice Premier Dmitri Rogozin arrived in Yekaterinburg on July 13. He came to the Innoprom 2016 International Industrial Exhibition and paid a visit to the stand of Russian Copper Company, the exhibition’s silver partner for this year.

According to the company press service, Rogozin came with a large group of Chinese officials headed by the Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Wang Yang.

Russian Copper Company Chair of the BOD Igor Altushkin presented the stand to the Vice Premier. Rogozin could learn about the company’s Chelyabinsk Region- and Kazakhstan-based flagship enterprises, Mikheyevsky Ore Mining & Processing Enterprise and Aktyubinsk Copper Company, respectively, as well as about the company’s large investment projects for the next few years (an extension of Mikheyevsky and construction of Tominsky Ore Mining & Processing Enterprises).

Both Dmitri Rogozin and the Chinese officials grew rather interested in the company’s projects. The press service reports China has remained one of the world’s largest copper consumers over the last few years and has been buying copper concentrate, wired copper, and copper cathodes from Russian Copper Company, among other suppliers.
