September 16, 2013. The construction of DreamWorks, a theme park, might begin in Yekaterinburg in the summer of 2014. The 100,000-square-meter park is expected to get up to 3m visitors every year, Governor of Sverdlovsk Region’s Information Policies Department reports.
On September 12, Governor Evgeny Kuivashev met the potential investors, including the BOD member of REGIONs Group and REGIONs Development’s Project Development Director Amiran Mutsoyev.
‘We met to discuss the possibility of implementing a project of a theme park called DreamWorks in Yekaterinburg and decided to take some time to think about such important issues as engineering infrastructure and urban planning policy. This is a large and important project for Sverdlovsk Region. We agreed to reach the first agreements today,’ Kuivashev said.
