June 10, 2013. Sverdlovsk Region technological parks development committee decided to place Sinarsky Techno Park on its register. Thus the total number of local techno parks now comes to 13, Sverdlovsk Region Government Press Service & Information Department reports.

Sinarsky Techno Park is based on the site of Sinara Pipe Plant in Kamensk-Uralsky and the plant is going to act as the primary enterprise, while Sinarskaya Management Company was set up to act as a management company.

‘The techno park’s production and lab facilities occupy the area of 10,000 sq m, with residents based on 6,500 sq m. What is more, the primary enterprise agreed to allow about 30 hectares of its production site to be used for setting up and developing the business. The techno park comprises 5 companies with a total of 127 employees; last year, these companies produced 102.8m RUR worth of goods, and each of these businesses is now working on its own research-to-practice project,’ Sverdlovsk Region deputy Industry & Science Minister Sergey Sarapulov said.
