ChTZ Sets up Exhibition to Celebrate 80th Anniversary

15 April 2013 (15:35)

April 15, 2013. An arts exhibition with works by the local art studio members was opened at Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant’s Palace of Culture to celebrate the plant’s 80th anniversary, Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s press service reports.

The exhibition is two-fold and comprises the retro-graphic works by the studio artists that picture the images of the last century’s tractor-makers and 19 children’s drawings portraying the plant’s daily life; these were created specifically for the anniversary exhibition.

The works have been created by the boys and girls aged 6 to 14. The studio teachers Irina Morozova and Irina Timofeyeva helped them to feel the plant’s atmosphere by introducing the children to special literature and art samples and by asking them to talk to their older relatives: many of these children’s grandparents used to work in the tractor-making industry, and quite a few of the young artists’ parents are currently employed with Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant.

The exhibition will be on until the fall starts.
