ChTZ Works on New Front Loader
5 March 2013 (09:25)
March 05, 2013. Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant (a member of Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation) is getting ready to manufacture its new PK-55 front loader with the scoop capacity of 5.5 tons, the corporation’s press service reports.
By the end of April, the tractor-makers are to assemble the first sample of the vehicle that was elaborated by the plant’s designers. The technical and manufacturing departments have already been presented with a task to this extent.
It is reported that the novelty is based on the mass-produced PK-46 and is an addition to the family of ChTZ loaders, with a number of design changes. The developers took into account the consumers’ needs and increased the vehicle’s carrying capacity from 4.6 tons to 5.5 tons.
The counterbalance will balance off the high-capacity scoop, while the increased working pressure in the hydraulic system will make the performance of the vehicle smooth and more efficient. The designers also took care to fortify the wheels through adding more layers to the tires.
What is more, the designers expect the new loader to meet the demand of the consumers who’d like a more powerful vehicle at a reasonable price. This means the make can compete with its Chinese counterparts that are being aggressively promoted on the market at the moment.
Following a series of tests in May, PK-55 will be sent to Moscow to take part in the international exhibition STT-13. The fair will be held at Krokus Expo in early June, the press release states.
