April 19, 2013. The first sample of their new BKK-2 compactor was shipped by Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant (ChTZ) manufacturers to Georgia, Uralvagonzavod Corporation’s press service reports.

This multi-purpose vehicle is produced at ChTZ-Uraltrac (Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant, a member enterprise of Uralvagonzavod Corporation). Its primary function consists in solidifying household waste; in addition, this unit can do a number of other things. If the steel spiked drums get replaced with the usual wheels with rubber tires, the vehicle turns into a regular loading truck. Replacing the scoop with a shovel transforms the machine into a wheeled bulldozer. These things can be replaced quickly with the help of a special quick re-installation device that comes with the compactor.

The Georgian customers are buying these communal housing services vehicles using the European Bank’s funding. ChTZ producers competed with the world’s leading compactor manufacturer BOMAG in the tender coordinated by the Georgian party, but the contract finally went to ChTZ Armenian dealer Galoper. The latter’s director Vladimir Akopov arrived in Chelyabinsk to commission the vehicle in person and learn more about the characteristics of this new make.
