February 12, 2013. ChTPZ Group increased the shipment volume of its pumping and compression pipes made of corrosion- and cold-resistant 18KhMFB (Cr1), 18X3MFB (Cr3), and 15X5MFBCh (Cr5) steels to 3,000 tons, the company’s press service reports.
These corrosion- and cold-resistant steels were supplied to the largest Russian enterprises such as Rosneft, LUKoil, TNK BP, Slavneft, and Naryanmarneftegaz.
It is reported that the unique steels with up to 3% chrome content (Cr1 and Cr3) are the ChTPZ experts’ own developments. The steel with the 5% chrome content (Cr5) has been developed in cooperation with the team of Samarsky ITTz; the new products are now patent-protected.
The pumping and compression pipes made of 18KhMFB and 18X3MFB steels are meant for the development of oil with low and medium carbon dioxide content and some hydrogen sulfide content. The pumping and compression pipes made of 15X5MFBCh steel are meant specifically for developing oil with high carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide content at high temperature and pressure, the company’s press release says.
The plant has been manufacturing these pipes at ChTPZ finishing center since 2010; the center was built within the framework of the company’s strategic development program. At the moment, the company is capable of supplying its pumping and compression pipes to consumers in any amounts and at the shortest notice; moreover, the pipes are suitable for varying oil well conditions and carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide contents, the company explains.
