15 December 2016 (13:48)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 15, 2016. Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) supplied a set of H2S resistant pipes for Gazprom’s Astrakhan oil/gas condensate field as part of the two parties’ import substitution program, TMK press service reports.
The 89 mm and 114 mm pumping and compression pipes made of H2S resistant С90SS steel were designed specially for Astrakhan deposit, where H2S and CO2 content is particularly high.
The long-term agreement TMK and Gazprom signed in October 2015 provides for design, development, and production of custom-made pipes that meet Gazprom’s technical specifications and can be used at the latter’s existing and prospective work sites. The agreement covers, among other items, highly durable and special-purpose pipes with TMK premium threaded joints made of carbon and alloyed steels and special alloys; these pipes will be suitable for harsh climatic conditions and aggressive environments.
