Uralvagonzavod Carries Innovational Performance Report for 2012

January 30, 2013. Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation came up with a report on the company’s improvements and innovations efforts in 2012 and looked at the prospects of this field in the year 2013. The second round table discussion on the improvements in inventor and innovator efforts at the corporation’s enterprises took place in Nizhniy Tagil, the corporation’s press service reports.
The representatives of nine Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation employees took part in the discussion: Uralvagonzavod proper, Yekaterinburg-based Uraltransmash and Plant 9, Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant, Kamensk-Uralsky Foundry Plant, and other Ural Federal District-based enterprises. What is more, some guests from other organizations (the All-Russian Organization of Inventors & Innovators (VOIR), VSMPO-Avisma Corporation, Evraz-NTMK, and Ural Federal University) attended the event.
It was observed that the round table discussion participants looked into issues relating to intellectual property and remuneration, the Kaizen strategy aimed at ongoing production improvement, and the assessment techniques in the improvements field. Personnel training, skills transfer, and mentoring were the most pressing points of the discussion. Uralvagonzavod Scientific & Production Corporation is already trying to solve the problem by organizing training courses within the framework of its corporate university. The courses offer a professional development program on Improvement Efforts in Real-Life Production.
