Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuivashev: We Need a Working Not a Token Innorpom
8 June 2012 (09:21)
‘Innoprom takes off in a little more than a month’s time. This is not much time, and there are still many unresolved issues. This is why our coordination committee has to perform as efficiently and productively as possible,’ Governor Evgeny Kuivashev said at the opening of a meeting dedicated to preparations for the industry & innovations exhibition/forum Innoprom 2012.
‘I feel it is crucial to put the emphasis on the new aspects: given the budget deficit, the uncertainty on the foreign markets, and Sverdlovsk Region’s considerable debts, we need a special kind of Innoprom, a really working one and not a mere token. It needs to keep some aspects of a show, of course, but they should not be the main things about the event,’ the Governor said.
‘We need to make every effort to make sure that both the exhibition and the forum parts of Innoprom result in some tangible achievements for Sverdlovsk Region. This is why all the constructive proposals that will be voiced at Innoprom must be accumulated into a single document that will then be placed with the region’s Government as a list of tasks from the Governor,’ Kuivashev said.
