July 18, 2013. Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuivashev summed up the results of the international exhibition Innoprom 2013. About 60,000 people visited the fair over the four days it lasted, and some 40 agreements were signed. The exhibition itself achieved a totally new level of quality, the Governor feels.
‘This year’s Innoprom’s primary achievement is that the exhibition attained a new level of quality. This year, there were fewer elements of a show and more serious scientific debates and forecasts,’ Kuivashev said.
This year, 550 companies ran their stands at the exhibition, and about a quarter of those businesses come from abroad. Some 60,000 people attended the exhibition altogether. The business agenda of the exhibition and forum comprised about 120 events, with representatives from over 70 different countries taking part in them.
The Governor also spoke about the importance of Innoprom as a way to prepare for EXPO.
‘This exhibition is great practice in preparation for hosting large-scale events at great organizational level,’ Kuivashev said.
In addition, the theme of next year’s Innoprom was announced as well: the exhibition will be dedicated to Intellectual Industry: Robotic Science, New Materials, & Automation.
