Past-due bill payable of Chelyabinsk Electrometallurgical Integrated Complex amounts to 52,365,000 RUR by March 31, 2006

By March 31, 2006, the past-due bill payable of Chelyabinsk Electrometallurgical Integrated Complex JSC amounted to 52,365,000 RUR, while the general bill payable of the company came to 7,016,635,000 RUR, the company’s press release says. Within the first quarter of 2006, the company produced 67,868 tons of ferrosilicon, 82,046 tons of ferrochromium, 3,354 tons of silicomanganese and 2,336 tons of silicocalcium. The sales proceeds amounted to 3,477,913,000 RUR. The company’s net profit within the first quarter of 2006 came to 41,643,000 RUR.

Yekaterinburg Electricity Supply Network Company to spend 130m RUR on reconstruction of Moskovskaya substation

Yekaterinburg Electricity Supply Network Company JSC started reconstruction of Moskovskaya substation, the company’s PR-department reported. The reconstruction includes installation of two new transformers whose power is 40,000 kVA each. Now the company’s specialists are building the facilities for the new equipment. The substation reconstruction is to be completed by the end of the third quarter of 2006. The total project costs are to come to 130m RUR.

Metallurgical Industrial Complex of Nizhny Tagil builds and puts into operation new overhead canter

Metallurgical Industrial Complex of Nizhny Tagil JSC (part of Evraz Group) has recently put into operation the new overhead converter to be used in the oxygen-converter shop. The converter is meant for fringing metal slabs and needed for full examination of the produce of No 4 continuous casting unit. According to the company’s spokesperson, the converter was designed in the oxygen-converter shop and in the plant engineer administration, even though the contract concerning the construction of the continuous casting unit did not include the converter as the obligatory component of the system.

Ural aluminum plant (subsidiary of SUAL JSC) has already processed 5 million tons of bauxites from Timanskiy deposit by May 24, 2006. The company processed its first million tons between October 1998 and June 2001, the 3 million tons record was set in June 2004. Chief engineer of Uraltrac Ltd. Vladimir Makarov murdered in Chelyabinsk

According to the spokesperson for Chelyabinsk department of home affairs, the chief engineer of CHTZ-Uraltrac Ltd. press-and-welding plant Vladimir Makarov was shot today. The victim was found in the hallway of his home with two gunshot wounds and taken to resuscitation department No. 8 where he passed away. The police investigating the case say they are currently pursuing several lines of inquiry, one of which is hired killing.
