‘We had to stop acting as the contractors for putting up the frame of the third building pertaining to Antey Business Center. All the equipment, including the crane, has been dismantled,’ Metalline Ltd’s PR manager Evgeniya Selischeva said to UrBC.

‘Upon the Court of Arbitration’s decision to sustain the claim laid against the center by Rostechnadzor (the state environmental, technological, and nuclear safety watchdog), the city’s public prosecution authorities filed an administrative suit against the general contractor and made it stop all the construction activity for 90 days. For us, three idle months is a very long time, we just cannot afford to keep the equipment at the construction site and leave our people without any chance of making money. This is why we thought it best to cancel our agreement with Antey Business Center,’ she added.

Last week, the founder of Antey Business Center Andrei Gavrilovskiy said the construction of the third section of the center had to be stopped for the time being because of the missing construction permit. He claimed this was due to the government officials’ attitude, even though he did not make it very clear just what authorities he was talking about.
