Fourteen participants of the project known as the School of Managing Director supported by Metallurgical Industrial Complex of Nizhniy Tagil (part of Evraz Group) have recently taken part in a workshop devoted to legal aspects of nature conservation in Russia, reports the spokesperson for Evraz Group.

The company’s middle level managers, who have been undergoing intensive managerial training, must attend this obligatory environmental workshop in order to complete their two-year program. The seminars were conducted by the faculty of the leading Ural colleges and the company’s environmental experts. The workshop participants will use their new knowledge in order to complete their final papers as well as in their daily performance. Complying with the conservation regulations is a must for all the upgrading projects conducted in Evraz Group.

The workshop gave the company’s managers a chance to learn about the ways of reducing the negative technological impact on the environment and about the corporate environmental management system in general. The system meets the ISO 14001:2004 international standards and makes up an important part of the company’s environmental policy. The latter is aimed at improving environmental management, upgrading production facilities, and use of green technologies.
