Cancellation of licensing procedure to result in more insured accidents on construction sites
5 December 2006 (11:15)
‘In the very near future, the building market is going to experience a problem of insuring the buildings under construction,’ says the General Director of the Union of Sverdlovsk Region Builders Vitaliy Padchin.
‘The WTO requirements state that every used construction site must be insured, yet our insurers are not prepared to work on such terms. Even though they declare that they have this possibility, the insurance fee of 1% off the total sum of the building and assembly jobs is too large a sum. It absolutely must be reduced, given especially that after the cancellation of the licensing procedure, the number of insured accidents is going to increase,’ Mr Padchin said.
