Development Corporation: Builders Work on Polyarnaya Power Station 24/7

February 21, 2013. At the moment, the construction site for Polyarnaya Heat & Power Plant is busy 24/7, and all the necessary steps are taken to make sure the station’s first launching facility is commissioned on time (that is, at the end of 2013), the Development Corporation’s Deputy Director-General Sergey Shindyalov reports.
More than 300 people and about 80 construction vehicles are currently being used in the construction process.
All the jobs related to preparing the foundation for the main building are nearly finished: by now, 80% of the necessary poles have been installed. The builders are also busy putting up the administrative building, the warehouses, and the ancillary buildings.
Besides, the construction company’s workers have already completed about 70% of all the jobs that have to do with the assembly of the metal structures for the warehouses.
