Ural Airlines present first Airbus 320 in Yekaterinburg

27 November 2006 (11:56)

Ural Airlines conducted a presentation of their first Airbus 320 in Yekaterinburg yesterday. The executives from Airbus, the aircraft construction MNC, and representatives of federal and regional authorities as well as reporters checked out the cabin and the flight deck (equipped with the cutting edge facilities) and drank some champagne to the well-being of the Urals’ first Airbus, says the carrier’s press officer.

Valeriy Kovalev, the Airbus 320 squadron leader, told everybody about the control system of the aircraft and its technical service and maintenance as well as the high fuel efficiency of the plane and its being environmentally friendly.

Airbus-320 is the first airbus liner, and learning how to drive it makes it easier to master all the other types of Airbus planes, meant for varying numbers of passengers. This is quite important, as being flexible in terms of choosing an aircraft for a flight (depending on the seasonal demand for particular directions – a key factor in modern carrier marker development) is a must if the carrier wants to be a success. What is more, Ural Airlines will have increased the number of Airbus planes they use significantly by the end of 2007. The first aircraft will take its maiden flight in the nearest future, reports the company’s press officer.
