17 September 2019 (09:23)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 17, 2019. Ural Airlines added one more Airbus A320neo (aircraft registration number: VP-BRZ) to its fleet of aircraft. The liner comes directly from Airbus assembly line in Toulouse and will be used under the terms of a service lease contract Ural Airlines signed with CDB Aviation.
According to the air carrier’s press service, the maiden flight Yekaterinburg-Sochi got operated on September 14, 2019, with 171 passengers on board. The aircraft is primarily meant for Yekaterinburg-Vladivostok-Yekaterinburg flights in the future; this flight will be available every Monday starting from November 18, 2019.
‘There are eight Business seats and 168 Economy ones on the plane, the cabin being the widest among all the airplanes within the same category made by Airbus competitors. There’s also the benefit of improved insulation and roomier overhead luggage compartments. Besides, Airbus upgraded the overhead panels with LED reading lights that are more comfortable for the human eye,’ the press service says.
This is a very energy-efficient aircraft make as well: the fuel spending is 20% lower than that of the earlier models; yet the plane is suitable for longer hauls than its earlier-generation counterparts.
Ural Airlines will receive three more new planes, including two Airbus A321neo ones, before the end of the year.
