Ural Turbine Plant to set up power machine building holding
20 November 2006 (12:59)
Ural Turbine Plant, a closed joint-stock company, is going to set up a power machine building holding, announced the company’s General Director Vitaliy Nedelskiy. Mr Nedelskiy says the holding will be originally organized as a consortium, founded by Ural Turbine Plant, Teploenergoservice EC Power Equipment Repair Corporation of Moscow, and ElSib, a joint-stock company from Novosibirsk. According to the other participants of the project, the consortium might then be converted into a joint stock company that will deal in collecting orders for steam-and-gas turbine production and the order distribution. The founders are also planning to start cooperating with their foreign counterparts; Ural Turbine Plant, for instance, has been negotiating with Mitsubishi of Japan. The Japanese and Russian companies are supposed to launch joint production of steam-and-gas units. The General Director of Mitsubishi’s gas turbine drafting department Masao Ishikawa said that they were expecting to use the help of their partner, Ural Turbine Plant, in trying to build up their share of the Russian market.
