Motive mobile operator gets its own MNC code

Motive, one of the mobile operators of Sverdlovsk Region, announced yesterday that it had been given a personal Mobile Network Code by the Russian Federation Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies. This code can be used to identify the company within international and long-distance GSM networks. Prior to receiving the code, Motive had to use the services of Tele2, the coordinating operator.
‘Now that we have our own MNC code, we can expand the list of our roaming partners considerably,’ observes the spokesperson for the company. The MNC is going to be changed throughout November 13 to November 20, 2006.
