Ural Airlines win tender from Government of Yakutia
13 July 2006 (12:52)
Ural Airlines JSC won the tender coming from Personnel Training and Retraining Department of Government of Yakutia/Sakha; the winning carrier will service the students studying in colleges and universities of Ural Federal District. There were five applicants altogether, one of them being Yakutia Airlines.
Given Yakutia’s geographical position (this part of Russia is quite distanced from major educational and scientific facilities), the Government of the republic puts a lot of effort into holding and supervising the annual campaigns aimed at giving their students a chance to get a degree in reputable Russian universities.
Ural Airlines have been performing Yekaterinburg-Yakutsk-Yekaterinburg flights for four years; these flights can also be connected to the other flights performed by the carrier, for example, to Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Anapa, Sochi, Krasnodar, Samara, Simferopol, Odessa, and some others.
Ural Airlines firmly believe that passenger safety is above all, and if the equipment is working even slightly oddly, the company prefers to call off flights, perform emergency landings, and bear all the losses incurred by fuel expenses and take-off and landing fees.
