UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 28, 2016. Simferopol Airport’s 5,000,000th passenger of this year flew with Ural Airlines on November 25, 2016, the air carrier’s press service reports.

’This special passenger was Elena Kovshova, who was traveling from Simferopol to Yekaterinburg. She was congratulated by Simferopol International Airport’s, Rosaviation’s South Territorial Administration in the Crimea’s, and Ural Airlines’ representatives,’ the press service says.

Elena Kovshova was also presented with some souvenirs and a gift certificate for business lounge services; the company also upgraded her seat to Business.

Ural Airlines are offering increasingly more flights to the Crimea, with quite a few new Simferopol-bound flights introduced in 2016. The airline also joined the government subsidized flights program, which allows certain passenger categories to get reduced-price tickets to the Crimea; what is more, the air carrier keeps operating flights from Yekaterinburg, Moscow, Sochi, and Samara to Simferopol even in the less popular winter/fall season,’ says CFO Ural Airlines Kirill Skuratov.
