Vysokogorsky Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise JSC, member of Evraz Group, has carried out a test assemblage of a new car dumper in its Lebyazhinsky sintering plant. The test assemblage was accomplished in order to get used to meeting the tightest schedule of the regular assemblage, the company’s PR-department reported.

‘During the test assemblage, the contracting agency representatives examined security of the main components attachment, identified the defects and calculated the assemblage man-hours. The test assemblage of the car dumper lasted for three weeks. The assemblage process is rather laborious due to the big size of the dumper and its complicated construction,’ the company’s PR-department indicated.

The new model of the car dumper is produced in one copy at Yuzhnouralsky Mechanical Plant. Car dumper is the main gearing involved in acceptance of burden material to be sintered. To date, there have been two functioning car dumpers in Lebyazhinsky sintering plant that handle 3,500 gondola cars with ore monthly. The replacement of one of the units with the new one is expected to allow for more regular tippler unloading, especially during winters.
