‘Public prosecution authorities of Ordzhonikidzevskiy District of Yekaterinburg initiated a criminal lawsuit concerning illegitimate use of Microsoft Corporation copyrightable matter after the investigation of instances of illegal production and selling of pirate copies was carried out alongside with other law-enforcement agencies,’ reports the spokesperson for the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Sverdlovsk Region. The offense was recorded in the office of a commercial enterprise located in Frontovikh Brigad St. Nine of the system units used by the employees had illegal copies of Microsoft software; the damage is estimated to come to no less than 175,000 RUR.
