Machine-Building Works of Zlatoust Production Association is going to launch their first go-anywhere SHUTTLE today, PROMASS spokesperson said to UrBC representative. This new type of product is produced with the support of Ural Automobile Company Ltd. and Chelyabinsk Region Association PROMASS (including President, State Duma member Valeriy Panov).
The car is based on TOYOTA Land Cruiser Prado. The Ural version has Mitsubishi engine, Toyota 4 Runner transmission, and Bosch fuel system. All cars will be produced as 4x4 all-wheel drive. The first models should cost approximately $22,000.
The assembling will be completed at the shops of Machine-Building Works of Zlatoust, with all joints and mechanisms imported, but in the next three years, the company will partially perform the production, too. Nearly a third of all component parts for joints should become Russian-made.
