ChelPipe Group, GenerationS Looking for Pipe Startups

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, January 16, 2020. The RBC-run corporate innovation platform GenerationS is now looking for innovative projects in the pipe manufacturing sector on behalf of ChelPipe Group, the latter’s press service reports.
‘Eligible to apply are teams from all over the world with projects at prototype stage (or higher). The primary goal of the selection process is to pick the most promising solutions ready for launch at ChelPipe Group’s member enterprises,’ the company says.
The applications can get submitted via ChelPipe Group’s Accelerator website on January 15-March 31, 2020.
The selected startups will have to focus on the following: new products, materials, and technologies for the pipe-manufacturing industry; innovative solutions that can replace the traditional steel pipes and coatings; computer vision and production monitoring systems; tech solutions that are in harmony with the Group’s White-Coated Metallurgy principles.
ChelPipe Group and GenerationS experts will choose up to thirty innovative projects whose teams will get to present their proposals to the company management; fifteen projects will make it to the actual acceleration program. Joining the program will mean teams will have to visit ChelPipe Group’s production facilities and meet with the workers of relevant production departments in order to work on their projects on the site and look into possibilities of further cooperation.
