UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 26, 2019. Ural Airlines added the third Airbus A320neo (side number: VP-BRY) to its fleet of aircraft on December 24. This is the fourth plane from the NEO (New Engine Option) family the airline now operates.

According to the airline’s press service, the plane arrived directly from an Airbus plant in Hamburg.

‘There are eight Business and 168 Economy seats on board.
Neo aircraft are suited for long hauls and use 20% less fuel than their earlier versions. The new liner runs on the engines LEAP-1A made by CFM International, just like the other neo aircraft that the air carrier is using already,’ the press service says.

The company says the maiden flight (U6 262 Moscow (Domodedovo Airport)-Yekaterinburg) got operated on Wednesday, December 25, 2019.

’77 passengers on the flight could enjoy the new ultra-thin passenger seats with USB ports for charging electronic devices, improved sound-proofing, spacious luggage compartments, and upgraded overhead panels. This is now Ural Airlines’ 47th airplane,’ the press service says.

The plane will be used to operate domestic and international flights under the terms of a leasing agreement with CDB Aviation Lease Finance. According to the airline’s press service, Ural Airlines will receive yet another Airbus A321neo in January 2020.

Now Ural Airlines is one of Russia’s leading air carriers in terms of passenger traffic. In 2018, 9,000,579 people flew with the airline, which exceeded the figures for the year 2017 by 13%.
