23 January 2020 (09:07)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, January 23, 2020. Ural Airlines added yet another Airbus A321neo to the company’s fleet of vehicles; the aircraft arrived from Hamburg a few hours ago, the air carrier’s press service reports.
The aircraft’s side number is VP-BOQ; the liner has 236 Economy seats on board.
‘This is Ural Airlines’ fifth aircraft from the Airbus A320 family that I got to pilot. The new-generation planes are fitted with LEAP-1A engines and Sharklets that help reduce noise level, fuel spending, and harmful air emissions. These aircraft varieties will be used to increase the number of nonstop flights the airline operates,’ says Sergey Glazkov, the pilot who took the plane from Hamburg to the Urals.
The maiden flight has been scheduled for January 22. Passengers on Flight U6 266 (Yekaterinburg-Moscow) will be able to enjoy improved cabin design, air conditioning system, lighting fixtures, and luggage compartments, and new ultra-thin passenger seats fitted with USB ports.
This is the airline’s fifth plane in the neo range and the 48th one in Ural Airlines’ total fleet.
