UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 20, 2019. OOO FORES presented Asbest Young Naturalists’ Station with spectrophotometer Unico KFK-3KM; the equipment can be used for both scientific research and studying the modern lab analysis methods, the company’s press service reports.

‘We focus very closely on our produce quality and fit our labs with the most up-to-date and highest-precision equipment. The spectrophotometer served at one of our member enterprises for several years, now is the time to get a replacement. However, the thing is still quite suitable for doing research that requires a slightly smaller degree of precision,’ the press service quotes Director at OOO FORES’s Asbest branch Dmitri Viberg as saying.

The spectrophotometer will allow young naturalists to look more closely into the chemical composition of soil, air, and water. It can also be used to determine the quality of food items, for example.

‘Spectrophotometer Unico KFK-3KM gets manufactured in Russia with imported parts and is meant for measuring transmittance factors, optical density, and concentration of solutions. The equipment was designed specially for Russia’s operational environment and meets Russian lab requirements. In order to store and process the measurement results, the device can get connected to a PC. A brand new spectrophotometer costs over RUB 90,000 at the moment,’ FORES’s press service says.
