Yekaterinburg: Budget 2020 Approved Through Public Hearings

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 2, 2019. Public hearings on the local Duma's budget proposal for 2020 and preliminary budget plan for 2021-2022 took place in Yekaterinburg last month.
488 local residents voted in approval of the proposed budget; 7 people voted against the proposal; 3 people abstained from voting.
As was reported earlier, Yekaterinburg Duma Budget & Economic Policy Committee approved of the Budget 2020 Project in the first reading last week.
Yekaterinburg's budget revenues are expected to come to RUB 47.4bn next year; budget expenses are estimated at RUB 49.2bn. The budget deficit is expected to reach RUB 1.8bn (7.5% of the overall revenue influx). The upper limit on the city's debt permissible by the end of 2020 has been set at RUB 1bn.
The budget proposal for next year and the preliminary proposals for the following two years will be considered in the first reading at Yekaterinburg Duma meeting on December 3, 2019.
