Yekaterinburg Duma Deputies Confirm Budget Implementation

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, April 27, 2016. Yekaterinburg Duma deputies accepted the city council’s report on budget implementation in 2015.
The report was presented by Andrei Koryukov, who was recently appointed Deputy Mayor for Strategic Planning, Economic Issues & Finance.
According to Koryukov, the budget was originally adopted with 1.5bn RUR-plus deficit: expected municipal revenues came to 33.11bn RUR, while the city’s yearly expenses were estimated at 34.68bn RUR.
By the end of the year, however, Yekaterinburg budget’s revenues amounted to 32.64bnRUR ( 96.8% of the target figures), while expenses stood at 32.746bn RUR (94.4%% of the planned amount). Amendments had to be made to the budget document in June and December 2015. Thanks to optimization of spending, budget deficit was reduced to 682m RUR at the end of the year.
