MMK’s Documentary Wins MineMovie Award

UrBC, Magnitogorsk, October 15, 2019. Steel Heart of Russia, a short documentary by Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK), won the MineMovie Festival Award during MINEX Forum, MMK’s Information & PR Department reports.
The documentary won as the Best Corporate Film.
The second and third prizes went to Polymetal’s Just Work and Petropavlovsk’s Golden Work, respectively.
MineMovie is Russia’s first movie festival featuring ‘short documentaries about companies and people working in the mining and geological industry.’ This year, the festival covered the documentaries made in 2017-2019 that are five to fifteen minutes long.
‘The documentaries dwell on a variety of the mining industry’s aspects: geological survey work, fossil extraction and processing, innovative technologies, environmental protection success stories, and other components of mining work,’ MMK says.
The movie festival has been initiated and supported by MINEX Forum and the 1st Geological Channel.
Now Russia’s MINEX Forum took place in Moscow for the 15th time last week was themed as Foresight of the Russian Mining and Exploration Industry Development so as to focus on the current transformation processes and arising new opportunities for natural resource exploration and extraction and processing of ores, metals, and minerals.
