Russian Copper Company Gets Award at MINEX

Russian Copper Company received a nominee diploma at MINEX Russia 2011, the 7th Mining and Exploration forum and expo. The award is mainly aimed at promoting competition spirit and advertising the companies’ best achievements in the development of Russia’s mineral resource base.

Russian Copper Company was nominated as The Investor of the Year, since it is one of the market’s leading companies that makes a lot of investments in the branch. The company was awarded for its large-scale investment in the purchase and development of Mikheevsky and Tominsky ore mining & processing enterprises and Kyzyl-Dere deposit.

Now the launch of the two new ore mining & processing enterprises will make Russian Copper Company one of Central Asia and China’s major ore concentrate market players. Together, the two enterprises can process 1.5 times more ore than the entire state of Mongolia. The project requires a total of $1.3bn worth of investments.
