Raspadskaya Mine’s Output Reaches 5,000,000,000 kg of Coal

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 25, 2019. 5,000,000,000 kg of coal have been produced at EVRAZ Holding’s Raspadskaya Coal Company’s Raspadskaya Mine since the start of the year, including the 2,000,000,000 kg extracted from a single coalface (Section 1).

According to Raspadskaya Coal Company’s PR Department, miners from Section 1 were the first to extract this year’s first 1,000,000,000 kg of coal from a single coalface by April 2019. The next 1,000,000,000 kg got extracted in the course of the following 4.5 months.

Section 1 miners are working on Coalface 4-10-31 that got commissioned in September 2018, with estimated coal reserves at around 3,500,000,000 kg. The miners intend to extract yet another 1,000,000,000 kg of coal from the location before the end of the year.

EVRAZ Raspadskaya Coal Company’s management congratulated the miners on their success.

The company’s PR Department says the miners are relying on the latest IT technologies, with the company working on a number of investment projects to boost production growth and ensure safe working conditions. Section 1 miners are working with highly efficient appliances and use the available automation technologies to the fullest to keep raising their coal output. They actually produce up to 11,000,000 kg of coal a day on average.
